The Leader of the Majority Party is the leader of the largest party or coalition of parties in the County Assembly.
 The office of the leader of the majority party is established pursuant to section 10 (1) of the County Governments Act

 

 
 
Roles of the Leader of the Majority Party:

 

  1. Spearheads the legislative agenda of the largest party
  2. Provides a link between the County Assembly and the County Executive
  3. Chairs the Selection Committee
