The County Assembly has adjouned regular sittings for a long recess.
The second session has seen the assembly under the leadership of Speaker Hon.Muteti Murimi pass various bills including the Kirinyaga County Climate Bill 2023, the Kirinyaga County Inspection and Enforcement Bill 2023, the Kirinyaga County Investment and Development Authority (Amendment) Bill 2023, The Kirinyaga County Finance Bill 2023, and The Kirinyaga County Healthy Facility Improvement Fund Bill 2023. The assembly has also approved the CIDP, ADP and the CFSP 2023 and debated on and adopted several motions that have seen increased effeciency in the delivery of services in the county.
Also introduced in the house are The Kirinyaga County Public Participation Bill, 2023, The Kirinyaga County Alcoholic Drinks Control Bill 2023, The Kirinyaga County Transport and Parking Bill, 2023, The Kirinyaga County Empowerment and Development Bill 2023, and the Kirinyaga County Persons With Disability Bill 2023. These have been read a first time and committed to the relevant committees for public participation and stakeholder engagement
The motion on adjournment was moved by the Leader of Majority Party, Hon. Daniel Muriithi Kibinga.
