County Assembly Kirinyaga

Hon. Jinaro Namu Njamumo- Deputy Speaker

The office of the Deputy Speaker is established pursuant to Article 178 (2b) of the Constitution of
Kenya.

The role of the Speaker of the County Assembly Deputy Speaker includes the following:

1. Preside over sittings of the County Assembly in the absence of the Speaker.
2. Chair committees of the whole County Assembly.
3. Chair the Liaison Committee which comprises of chairpersons of all county assembly committees.
