Members of the Count Assembly have unanimously approved the County Supplementary Budget Estimates No.1 for the financial year 2020/2021.
The supplementary budget 1 was prepared to realign the county budget estimates to include in the resource envelop revenue items which were not included in the 2020/21FY budget during its approval in June 2020 and to realign the county spending to give priority to ward based projects and the completion of stalled projects.
The budget estimates were tabled and committed to the Committee on Budget and Appropriations for scrutiny on 19th October 2020.
Key allocations in the budget estimates approvedby the County Assembly include, an allocation of Ksh 220 Million for ward based projects in all the 20 Wards and which are distributed in all dockets, an allocation of Ksh 129 Million for roll over and stalled projects and allocation of Ksh 70 Million to cater for payment of pending bills.

A further allocation of 127,349,086 from Roads Maintenance Fuel Levy Fund for Repair and Maintenance of one road per ward at a tune of Ksh 6.3 Million, an allocation of Ksh 126 Million for purchase of medical drugs in the health ministry, and an allocation of Ksh 90 Million for Bursaries was approved.
